I know less about where I’m going next year now than I did last month. But I also know that I’m more excited now than I have been all year!
The short version of the story is this: Everyone that had originally committed to the same route as me (East Africa, Southern Africa, Southeast Asia, South America) was notified a couple weeks ago that all three January routes were changing and ours was being dissolved onto the other two available routes due to numbers, ministry opportunities, and travel restrictions.
I spent almost every minute that was given to me thinking about my decision and which route I’d pick instead (i.e. which countries I’d travel to and do ministry in, but also which people I’d be spending the year with). So I’m excited to share that I’ll be traveling next year to…
Central America, South America, and Africa with N squad! Woohoo!
I don’t know specifics about countries or timelines yet, so am still unsure where we will head first in January, but I’m super excited for whatever lies ahead!
The other exciting update is that in three weeks, I’ll be at training camp at the Adventures in Mission Gainesville base! At training camp my squad will meet and get to know one another, we’ll receive teaching and instruction, we’ll engage in team builders and situational training, oh AND we’ll tent camp and live out of our back packs for the week. From everything I’ve heard about training camp (and my own little experience a few years ago) I know it’s going to be an incredible and exhausting and encouraging and exciting few days! Please pray for my squad as we prepare for training camp and meet one another, pray that our friendships would be built on a firm foundation, and that we would be encouraged and strengthened while at training camp.

I’m currently at $7253 raised (39% funded) and my next deadline is that I need to have $10,000 raised by December 17th. I’ll be over 50% funded at that deadline, which is CRAZY to consider! Emily!!! It was SO GOOD to finally meet you in person at Training Camp. You have done so well holding this experience with open hands and following the Lord to a new squad and new route.
